cody cameron, p.geo., hydrogeologist

Cody Cameron is a Professional Geologist with over 20 years of experience in the geoscience industry. Cody has had a broad career in hydrogeology and has worked with consulting firms that specialize in contaminated sites, mine permitting, groundwater supply, landfill design and monitoring, geotechnical engineering, and geoexchange. Recently, Cody worked for the BC Government as a Regional Hydrogeologist for the north sector of the province. Prior to working in the private sector, Cody worked in mineral exploration with DeBeers Diamonds as a summer student and a contract geologist. Cody's career has taken him to diverse landscapes throughout Western North America and the Arctic.

Cody is equipped with skills in field work, data analysis, mentorship and management and has worked on projects ranging from single family homes to major superfund sites.

He has continually sought to expand his expertise through training and development. He has Auto-Cad design capabilities, and is familiar with GINT, WINLOG, EnviroInsite, Aquifer Test, AQTESOLV, MODFLOW and Grapher software. Cody received his undergraduate geology degree from the University of Saskatchewan and his environmental engineering post-graduate diploma from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. He has also completed a graduate level course on advanced hydrogeology from the University of British Columbia and attended various training courses related to contaminant and physical hydrogeology, acid rock drainage and geoexchange.

Cody has been a member of EGBC as a Professional Geologist since 2008. Cody is also a member of AME BC, Bulkley Valley Research Centre, BC Groundwater Association and the Smithers Exploration Group.

ashleigh ballevona, r.p.bio., wildlife biologist/project manager

Ashleigh Ballevona, is a Registered Professional Biologist and Project Manager with over 15 years of professional experience in wildlife ecology and environmental impact assessment. Ashleigh is proficient in a wide range of survey methods for wildlife and is an excellent technical writer having authored technical and environmental impact assessment documents, and wildlife management plans. Ashleigh also has experience with environmental construction monitoring in marine and terrestrial environments.

She is a competent project manager and is experienced coordinating multidisciplinary teams for complex projects, working with Indigenous peoples, and engagement with agencies.

Ashleigh received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Winnipeg and has been a member of the College of Applied Biology since 2008. Ashleigh has a passion for bats and since 2015 has volunteered as the BC Community Bat Program Coordinator for the Skeena Region. She also volunteers with the North American Bat Monitoring Program in BC.
